Kevin Durant scored 14
consecutive points to get Golden State even, and Draymond Green
converted a short jumper for the go-ahead hoop with 1:33 to play
Thursday night, allowing the Warriors to rally past the San Antonio
Spurs 110-107 in Oakland, Calif., despite losing Stephen Curry to an
ankle injury in the third minute of the game.
Durant finished with a game-high 37 points for the Warriors, who
beat the Spurs for the third straight time this season and fourth
straight time overall.
LaMarcus Aldridge had a team-high 30 points for the Spurs, who were
opening a rugged three-game trip on which they also will face
Oklahoma City and Houston.
Curry was injured on the Warriors' sixth possession of the game. He
stepped on DeJounte Murray's foot after getting fouled on a layup
attempt, twisting his troublesome right ankle. Warriors coach Steve
Kerr said Curry would not play Friday at Portland on the second
night of a back-to-back.
Celtics 117, Timberwolves 109
Kyrie Irving had 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, and Al
Horford added 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists to power
Boston over Minnesota in Minneapolis. The Celtics clinched a playoff
berth with the win.
Boston prevailed for the sixth time in seven games by using a
balanced offensive attack that had six players score in double
figures. Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown had 14 points, and he walked
off the court on his own accord after sustaining a bad fall while
trying to dunk in the third quarter. Brown later was taken to a
hospital, but he tweeted that he was OK and merely sustained a
headache.
Nemanja Bjelica had 30 points and 12 rebounds and Taj Gibson added
18 points to lead the Timberwolves, who lost their third consecutive
game and fell for the fourth time in six games.

Thunder 115, Suns 87
Carmelo Anthony began and ended a 15-point run in the second
quarter, helping Oklahoma City overtake visiting Phoenix en route to
a dominating victory.
