[March 13, 2018]  BLOOMINGTON - Eleanor Lucille Barton, 98, formerly of Lincoln passed away at 8:41 p.m. on March 3, 2018 at Heritage Health in Bloomington.

Visitation: 10 a.m. Friday March 9, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at the church

Funeral home: Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, Lincoln   

Obituary

Eleanor Lucille Barton, 98, formerly of Lincoln passed away at 8:41 p.m. on March 3, 2018 at Heritage Health in Bloomington.

Eleanor was born on July 23, 1919 to Herman and Alvena (Milhahn) Rhody. She married Albert Barton on August 25, 1937 in Dixon, KY. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1987.

Surviving Eleanor are her children: Dewayne (Jan) Barton of Washington, Gary (Vicky) Barton of Normal, and Donald Barton of Jetmore, KS; six grandchildren: Mike (Sharon) Barton, Mark (Tracey) Barton, Brian (Denise) Barton, Tim Barton, Megan (Steve) Castleman, and Abby Barton; 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

 

Eleanor graduated from Lincoln High School. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 20 years at Lincoln Developmental Center. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln and was a member of the Ladies Aide for funeral meals.

Services for Eleanor will be 11:00 a.m. Friday March 9, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service (10:00-11:00 a.m.) also at the church.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.

Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
