Today
is Illinois Primary Election Day. In
Logan County the most contested race is
for the Republican nominee for Logan
County Sherrif. The candidates are Miles
Craig, a former Lincoln Police officer
and Mark Landers, who is currently Chief
Deputy of Operations for the Logan
County Sheriff's Department. There are
no Democratic candidates seeking
nomination.
There are also some public questions on
the ballot today, including one that
impacts all residents of Logan County
and others that impact specific
communities.
LDN will have election results as it
becomes available tonight.

Hartsburg-Emden
Volleyball athlete Lily Barry poses for

who is energetic with an infectious
smile, is one of the stars of the Hartem
team, and is on her way to becoming an
international athlete. Barry has been
participating in the Junior Olympics
competitions for over a year and is
half-way to making the Junior Olympics
International Olympic Volleyball Team.
Barry will compete soon in the Spring
Junior Olympic competitions, if she
makes the cut, she will go on to the
Winter Junior Olympics at the end of the
year, and if she makes that cut, she'll
be going international!
