 Included
in the morning event was a variety of garden experts with displays
set up showing off specialty plants such as orchids, and popular
garden items such as roses and iris. There were also displays
promoting bees and honey production, as well as information about
attracting the “Wild Ones” such as beneficial insects and
butterflies to the garden.
The morning began at 8 a.m. with registration and coffee and donuts.
Guests were able to enjoy a sweet while walking about and visiting
with display hosts, talking with Master Gardeners, and registered
for door prizes that would be given away at the end of the day.
The morning was broke into two multi-choice breakout sessions and
concluded with Dr. Dennis Campbell's dynamic presentation about
Lincoln College's Outdoor Environmental Education Classroom,
Creekside.
When the
day was done, guests were thanked for their attendance. Door prize
gifts were collected at the Master Gardener table.
