LINCOLN
Eaton Employees have always been generous in
supporting the United Way of Logan County, and have led the way for
many years when it comes to total giving. The 2017 campaign was no
exception.
|
Employees at the local factory, pledged over $44,000 to the local
United Way during their most recent campaign this fall. Eaton gives
employees the opportunity to give through payroll deduction. This
allows them to give a little each week, which adds up over the year.
The Eaton Charitable Trust also matches all employee donations $.50
for every dollar donated, making Eaton’s total pledge over $65,000.
This money will stay in Logan County and will be distributed to help
support 15 different programs which benefit local seniors, youth and
families. This year, as last year, the local United Way has pledged
$100,000 to be distributed among these programs. Eaton’s
contribution goes a long way to helping the agency meet that pledge.
Eaton
Corporation has supported United Way all over the world for over 100
years. The company’s founder, Joseph O. Eaton, led the formation of
The Cleveland Federation for Charity and Philanthropy, which helped
create Cleveland's first United Way, which is where the company was
headquartered.

As
stated on the company’s website, regarding community support,
Eaton strives to help the communities in which they operate
become vibrant places to live and work. They serve many
communities around the world, and their employees' skills and
ideas are a reflection of them. They believe that when they
support local communities, they support employees, customers and
other stakeholders. The employees at the Lincoln Manufacturing
Plant are certainly a reflection of that philosophy.
