Local Zonta Club now accepting applications for 2018 scholarships

 

[March 21, 2018]  LINCOLN - The Zonta Club of Lincoln is currently accepting applications for the Women's Career Scholarship and the Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship. Candidates will be selected based on merit, activities, leadership, honors, awards, and need.

To be considered for either of these awards, applications for the Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship must be received no later than March 1, 2018; applications for the Women's Career Scholarship must be received no later than March 24, 2018.

Applications are available at the area high schools and colleges or on the Zonta Club of Lincoln's website at http://zonta district6. org/lincoln/scholarships/.  Questions should be directed to Christel Huff, Chair of the Scholarship Committee, at christel_huff_211@ comcast.net.

Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of women through service and advocacy.

In addition to making application, those interested should be prepared to attend an interview with the Scholarship Committee.

For the Young Women in Public Affairs, the interviews will be conducted on March 24th.

Interviews for the women's Career Scholarship will be conducted on April 21st.
