NBA roundup: Pacers, Sixers clinch playoff berths

[March 26, 2018]  Victor Oladipo scored 23 points, including a key overtime 3-pointer, to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 113-107 victory over the Miami Heat on Sunday in Indianapolis.

Darren Collison scored eight of his 12 points in overtime as the Pacers clinched a playoff spot with the win. The result also sealed a postseason berth for the idle Philadelphia 76ers.

Thaddeus Young contributed 22 points and nine rebounds, and Bojan Bogdanovic added 18 points for the Pacers.

Tyler Johnson led the Heat with 19 points, including 12 in the first quarter. James Johnson added 15 points and Bam Adebayo 14 for Miami. Dwyane Wade had 13 points and seven assists off the bench.

Rockets 118, Hawks 99

James Harden posted his fourth triple-double of the season, and Houston parlayed torrid 3-point shooting into a victory over visiting Atlanta.

Houston extended its winning streak to nine games. The Rockets converted 14 of 28 3-point attempts in the first half to build their advantage. They finished 20 of 52 from long range while extending their home-court winning streak to 16 games.

Harden tallied 18 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists to help steer the Rockets, who were without Chris Paul (hamstring) for a third consecutive game. Taurean Prince and Isaiah Taylor scored 28 and 26 points, respectively, for the Hawks, who were without Dennis Schroder (ankle).

Celtics 104, Kings 93

Terry Rozier scored a career-high 33 points, including a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 8:53 remaining that gave Boston the lead for good at Sacramento.

Rozier's game-high point total included a career-best eight 3-pointers as he singlehandedly outscored the Kings 24-21 from beyond the arc in Boston's third consecutive win.

Reserve Buddy Hield had three of the Kings' seven 3-pointers and a team-high 21 points.

Cavaliers 121, Nets 114

LeBron James totaled 37 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, and Cleveland made the plays down the stretch to win at Brooklyn.

Kevin Love added 20 points and 15 rebounds for his 29th double-double of the season as Cleveland shot 50.6 percent from the floor.

Joe Harris scored a career-high 30 points, but the Nets lost for the 14th time when holding a lead or being tied going into the fourth quarter.

Clippers 117, Raptors 106

Lou Williams had 26 points and Tobias Harris added 20, and Los Angeles opened the fourth quarter with a big run to post a win at Toronto.

Montrezl Harrell had 19 points and Milos Teosodic added 15 points for the Clippers, who have won two of three after losing four straight.

Jonas Valanciunas had 16 points and 10 rebounds, Fred VanVleet had 16 points and Pascal Siakam added 15 to lead the Raptors, who lost for the third time in five games.

 

Trail Blazers 108, Thunder 105

CJ McCollum scored 14 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter as Portland got past host Oklahoma City.

Damian Lillard added 24 points for the Trail Blazers, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Jusuf Nurkic had 17 points and 12 rebounds for Portland, which swept its season series with Oklahoma City 4-0.

Russell Westbrook collected 23 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and four steals for Oklahoma City. Steven Adams had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Thunder.

Bucks 106, Spurs 103

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Eric Bledsoe finished with 23 points to lead Milwaukee past visiting San Antonio.

Coming off a career-high, 45-point performance in an overtime victory over Utah Friday night, LaMarcus Aldridge paced San Antonio with 34 points.

Pau Gasol scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench for the Spurs, who saw their six-game winning streak end.

Jazz 110, Warriors 91

Joe Ingles, Donovan Mitchell and Ricky Rubio hit 3-pointers during an 18-3 flurry to start the second half as Utah pulled away from short-handed Golden State.

Utah, which had a 12-game road winning streak snapped Friday in an overtime loss at San Antonio, regained its winning ways away from home en route to the 23rd victory in its past 27 games. Mitchell scored a game-high 21 points.

Playing without injured stars Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, the Warriors fell for the fifth time in 11 games in March, their losingest month in the Steve Kerr era. Quinn Cook led Golden State with 17 points.

Knicks 101, Wizards 97

Trey Burke scored a game-high 19 points as New York defeated host Washington.

Burke, who played 57 games for the Wizards last season, started for the first time with the Knicks and came up with a big three-point play with 35 seconds left that gave New York a 97-95 lead. Burke added a free throw with 18 seconds remaining, and the Knicks held on for the upset.

The Wizards, who were led by 14 points from Bradley Beal, are just 4-8 in their past 12 games.
