Obituary
Stanley E. Snyder, 92, of Chestnut
passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Decatur
Memorial Hospital.
Stanley was born on February 4, 1926 in Greenville,
the son of Charles and Kathryn (Bale) Snyder. He
married Elizabeth Madden on June 22, 1947 in Normal.
She preceded him in death in 1975. He later married
Norma Holmes Shull on August 12, 1978 in Las Vegas,
NV. She survives in Chestnut.
Stanley is also survived by his children, Julie
Cyrulik of Denver, CO, Christine Peasley, Janet
Kissick, Dennis Shull, and Colin Shull all of
Lincoln, and Kathy Aderman of Atlanta, his siblings,
Robert, Sterling, Betty, Dorma, and Sharon.
Additionally, Stanley is survived by 12
grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, son,
Timothy Snyder, four brothers, and two sisters. |
Stanley retired from the United
States Postal Service. He was a member of the
A.P.W.U. as well as a member of The American Legion
in Chestnut and Beason.
A private graveside service for Stanley will be held
on a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Stanley’s name to
Chestnut EMS.
Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral home, Mount Pulaski.
