softball: Pleasant Plains defeats Railer softball 12-1

The Pleasant Plains Cardinals got on the scoreboard early Monday
against the Lincoln Railers Softball Team on the way to a 12-1
victory.
Pleasant Plains scored five runs in the first inning with Heidi
Hergenrother and Sierra Nation recording RBI singles to lead the
way. The Cardinals added another six runs in the fifth inning as
Marybeth Yates, Jess Cameron and McKenna Wise all drove in runs.
Kerstin Osborne, Sydney Worth and Sydney Sutherland each had hits
for Lincoln. Emily Paulus drove in Lincoln's only run on a fielder's
choice.
Osborne toed the rubber for Lincoln. She allowed eight hits, and 12
runs over five innings. She struck out four batters.
