The Mount Pulaski Girls Softball Team has had its ups and downs this
season with the program at the high school only in its second season
after an extended layoff. But Monday night the girls hosted North
Mac and despite suffering an 18-7 loss, the Hilltoppers showcased
some power.

game versus North Mac.
With the score 8-7 the Hilltoppers no doubt put North Mac on their
heels, but the visitors went on to claim the 18-7 victory.
Other hitting stars for Mount Pulaski were Faith Doerr (2-for-3 with
a run scored), Emma Aylesworth (2-for-3 with and RBI and a run
scored) and Jade Stewart (3-for-3 with two runs scored).
Cooper also tossed five and two-thirds innings for Mount Pulaski
from the circle. She struck out three batters.
Mount Pulaski Coach Travis Lingafelter had these positive comments
following the game. "These girls are athletes. They play their
hearts out and improve each game. The future is bright for Mount
Pulaski softball."
