Rodriguez for Congress Campaign to Host “Week of Town Halls” in May

[May 09, 2018]   LINCOLN - Junius Rodriguez, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Representative in IL-18, has announced that he will conduct a series of eleven “town hall” events across the congressional district during the week of May 14-20.

Rodriguez will hold two events per day from Monday (May 14) through Friday (May 18) and will end the week with a larger event on Sunday (May 20). He intends to hold a second “Week of Town Halls” in mid-August.

Rodriguez describes these events as “an opportunity to rejuvenate civic democracy by bringing public discussion of issues and policies back to our local communities.” The “town hall” events are open to the public and the questions posed will not be pre-screened. Rodriguez sees these events as both an opportunity to address a variety of issues that will be raised by area residents as well as an opportunity to listen to the wisdom of the people.
