Obituary
Alfred C. "Big Al" Wolf, 75, died on
Saturday, May 5, 2018, at St. Clara’s Rehab and
Senior Center in Lincoln.
Funeral Services for Al will be held on Thursday,
May 10, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran
Church in Lincoln, with Rev. Mark Thompson
officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate
Al’s life.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Lincoln.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018,
from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran
Church.
Alfred is survived by his wife Milinda Wolf of
Lincoln; his children: Kim Duden of Bethlehem, Ga,
Cathy (Jeremy) Crist of Bloomington, and Randy Wolf
of Beason; one sister, Jeanette (John) Johnson of
Lincoln; and grandchildren: Derek Duden and Rachel
Duden of Bethlehem, Ga., and Ashten Wolf of Beason.
He was preceded in death by son Jeffrey Scott Wolf,
whom he joined in heaven on Jeffrey's birthday, and
his parents.
Al was born on January 10, 1943, in Lincoln, to
parents Fred and Florence Donath Wolf. He graduated
from Beason High School. He married Milinda Woodard
in August 1961 and the couple had 4 children
together. Al was a great family man, loving father
and husband. |
Throughout the years Al was employed
by Beason Ag Center and Fuller Seed Company, and was
an original founder and employee of Lincoln Ag
Center. Al was also a full-time farmer.
Al was a very social man who loved to visit with his
friends at Burwell's/Thornton's, IGA, the Arcade, and Bees Floral,
to name a few. He was a member of the Beason School Board for 20
years, a volunteer and trustee for the Beason Fire Department, and
the Lincoln High School boys basketball scoreboard keeper for
numerous years.
Al will always be remembered for his love of his family, friends,
animals, Cubs baseball, and for his love of the Christmas season.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beason
Fire Department or St. Clara’s Rehab and Senior Center.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at St. Clara’s
Manor for their love and dedication shown to Al and his family.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of
Lincoln.
