Obituary
Paul Lucien Turner Jr. passed away on
Monday, May 14, 2018. He was born on December 22,
1933 in Harristown Township.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Carol Turner of
Mount Pulaski; daughters Teresa (John) Pierce of
Orion, and Paula (Carl) Wilke of Chapel Hill, NC;
sons Steven (Michele) Turner of Decatur, and Russell
Curtis (Kim) Turner of St. Charles, MO; brother
James (Jane) Turner of Springfield; grandchildren
Paul Turner, Ben Pierce (Lilly Lavner), Andrea
(Neal) Sawyer, Adam (Claire) Pierce and many nieces
and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents Paul Sr. and
Loyelle Turner, son James Todd Turner, and sister,
Judith Ann Leonard.
Paul graduated from Decatur High School in 1951 and
attended Millikin University. He first married
Patricia Little in 1956, and then Carol Horn in
1980. He enjoyed a long career with Blue Cross Blue
Shield of Illinois. |
Woodworking and rehabbing old homes were some
of his hobbies and he was known for his craftsmanship. Paul
loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. His
kind heart, keen sense of humor and gift of story-telling
will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, 202 N.
Lafayette St. in Mount Pulaski on Friday, May 18,
2018 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30
a.m. prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made
to the Mount Pulaski EMS. Interment will be held at
Macon County Memorial Park at a later date.
