Obituary

Harry D. Polen, 89, of Atlanta passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at The Christian Village in Lincoln.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Funks Grove Cemetery in rural McLean with Mr. Tony Billingsley officiating.

Harry D. Polen was born March 24, 1929, in Clinton, the son of Edward and Katherine Hubbard Polen. He was united in marriage to Sharon Van Hoosier on March 29, 1963, in McLean. She survives.

Also surviving are his sons: Steve (Merlin) Polen, Scott Polen, and Rob Polen; two sisters: Patricia Swanik and Mary E. Huff; six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons: James M. Polen and Chad J. Polen.

Funeral Director

Harry served in the United States Army. He attended the McLean Christian Church, and is a member of Mt. Pulaski American Legion, Clinton Eagles, and the Elk's Chestnut Men's Club. He was also an avid Cardinals fan.

Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
