LINCOLN
- On Friday, May 11th beginning at 9:00 a.m. the students at West
Lincoln-Broadwell Elementary School will participate with their
annual Recess Program in support of the Relay for Life of Logan
County.

Different stations of awareness, healthy living and eating resources
will be part of the experience for the students. All teachers and
students are involved and welcome Survivors in the community/county
to come and be a part of their awareness and support program.
On Wednesday, May 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the students of
both Adams Elementary and Northwest Elementary are combining their
efforts in their program in support of Relay for Life of Logan
County. It will be held at Northwest Elementary. They too will be
sharing awareness of cancer causing lifestyles and also the
availability of learning healthy living and eating resources.
Logan
County Survivors are welcome to share in this experience – It is
suggested that survivors wear their survivor shirts and pins so
students will witness the ‘wave of purple symbolizing Hope and
Survivorship’.

The students at Washington-Monroe are holding a “Coin War”
through the 18th with all proceeds being given to Relay for Life of Logan
County.
"From personal experience these young people are serious about their involvement
and take a real interest in the messages they are learning and giving to this
program. It really touches ones heart to witness and be a part of this and
several survivors would also attest to this as well," said Tonita Reifsteck,
Publicity Chair of the RFL
