Obituary
Loraine Wubben, 98, of Mount Pulaski
passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at HSHS St.
John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Loraine was born on March 20, 1920 in rural Latham.
The daughter of Charles T. and Jessie M. (Williams)
Vaughan. She married Harold E. Wubben on September
4, 1940 in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on
April 2, 2004.
Loraine is survived by her children,
Janice (John) Poffenbarger of Mount Pulaski, Judith
(Norm) Maxheimer of Lincoln, and Julian (Lou Ann)
Wubben of Mount Pulaski; her grandchildren, Mark
(Suzanne) Maxheimer, Tom (Jasper) Maxheimer, Greta
(Dakota) Russell, Jennifer (Dave Albin) Wubben, and
Julie (Nick Stone) Wubben; her nine
great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild, and
one great-great grandchild. |
Loraine enjoyed knitting, crochet,
and sewing. Above all else, Loraine loved her
family; especially her grandkids and
great-grandkids.
A private family graveside service will be held at
later date. Memorial donations may be made in
Loraine’s name to Vonderlieth Living Center.
Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski.
