Gezus Oliver, the dynamic guard for the Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers,
has made his college choice. Oliver was a key component in the
Hilltoppers success on the hardwood this past season and he has
decided to continue his education and his basketball career at
MacMurray College in Jacksonville. Oliver recently signed a letter
of intent in front of the student body of MPHS as he was surrounded
by his basketball teammates.
Mount Pulaski basketball coach Ryan Deibert was pleased to see
Oliver move on to the next level. "I'm so happy and proud of him to
have the opportunity to play the game he is passionate about and get
a solid education at the same time. His hard work has paid off to
this point. He still has a lot of room for growth as a player, and
Coach Creal and his staff are a solid group of coaches to improve
with and learn from."
MacMurray head basketball coach Todd Creal is getting a great
student-athlete in Oliver and he knows it. "Gezus is a great young
man who is going to have a great experience here at MacMurray
College," said Coach Creal.

"He is a dynamic athletic guard that can score in a number of ways.
I also think he can be a plus defender at the college level, able to
guard all three guard positions, Point Guards through two and three
guards. Above all things we are getting a high character young man
who has a really bright future in front of him. We are very excited
to have him coming to MacMurray College."

Congratulations to Gezus Oliver on this accomplishment!
