Third Fridays committee seeks sponsors, vendors, volunteers
First family fun night to return June 15

[May 23, 2018]   LINCOLN - It’s nearly time for summer fun and games to make a comeback to downtown Lincoln. The 3rd Fridays Downtown Lincoln committee has been organizing the upcoming rundown for these favored family-friendly fun nights.

The group is now implementing their recruiting phase for sponsors, vendors, and volunteers. They’re seeking to fill spots on the third Friday’s of June 15, July 20, August 17, and September 21, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

“This is a great way to get involved in the community and get your business or name out there and exposed to a wide demographic of people,” said Alderman Tracy Welch, Committee Chairman. “It’s a unique chance for area entrepreneurs or those new to the community to make themselves known and engage with people they may not otherwise have a chance to meet.”

Want to be a Vendor?
Individuals or organizations who may be interested in promoting products or their nonprofit’s causes, can set up shop in this year’s vendor market located along Kickapoo Street. Whether you sell handbags, Tupperware®, candles, or more – this is a chance for you to expose your products to new clientele with little to no up-front investment.

Vendors simply make a $25 refundable deposit to hold their place for each month they’d like to participate. Then, after the event wraps up for the night, deposits will be returned to participating vendors. Seeking Sponsors
It’s not too late to sign up as a sponsor for 3rd Friday’s Downtown. The cost is $100 for each month of sponsorship. Participating sponsors and their businesses will receive promotion through signage at the event as well as through other strategic marketing efforts. How to Volunteer

About 3rd Fridays Downtown
Lincoln’s 3rd Fridays Downtown events operate on the third Fridays of each month from June through September, with a total of four event dates in 2018. The event hours are 5:30-8:30 p.m. The events will be located on the square in downtown Lincoln. Each event may call for different street closures. The market will be positioned on Kickapoo Street between Pekin and Pulaski Streets.
