			Cameron Kurtz as Master Of Ceremonies

			LINCOLN 
			- Relay for Life of Logan County announced at their meeting that 
			Cameron Kurtz will be the Master of Ceremony for the 2018 Relay 
			“Let’s Knock Cancer Out of This Game” on June 16. Cameron or his 
			voice, is best known for his Master of ceremonies at the Lincoln 
			Balloon Festival and as MC for the Logan County Jr. Miss Logan 
			County and the Logan County Queen contest, Relay for Life among 
			other venues around Logan County.

			 He also 
			was public address announcer while at LCHS for boys basketball and 
			was active as a licensed Illinois High School Association basketball 
			official for the last 11 years working as the crew chief for a 
			playoff game this past season.  
			 
			Cameron now resides in Bloomington and currently works media and 
			Marketing professional working with radio stations in the 
			Bloomington-Normal are. A 2008 graduate of LCHS he attended 
			Southeaster IL College where he competed in nationally renowned 
			speech team; He graduated from IL State University in Normal in 2012 
			and began work as Promotions Director of a group of stations based 
			in Bloomington. Besdies MC commitments he has voiced commercials and 
			developed promotional campaigns for companies such as McDonald’s 
			Dish Network, Chevrolet and Mitsubishi among others. 
			
			  
			Cameron and his family have been a part of Relay for Life of Logan 
			County for many years. As Cameron says: “I always love coming back 
			to the community whenever I can to help with so many great local 
			events and RFL is definitely on that list! I am honored to serve as 
			MC again this year and look forward to working with familiar faces. 
			Relay For Life holds a special place in my heart after we lost my 
			Grandma Blanche Kurtz in 2014. Through events like these, I can 
			honor her memory as well as celebrate the survivors, caregivers, 
			family and friends of so many that have triumphed over their 
			illnesses. Relay For Life events give all of us an overwhelming 
			amount of Hope and Pride!” Along with his ‘experiences’ he will also 
			be able to share some Logan County Relay history as we celebrate 
			this – our 21st year of Relay For Life in Logan County and for 
			survivors – “another birthday”.  
			 
			Relay begins on Saturday, June 16th with Registration at 1:00. 
			Survivors will be given Survivor Pins (Shirts will be given at 
			Survivor Dinner, Wednesday, June 13th in old gym, Lincoln College 
			campus) 
            Opening ceremony at 1:00 p.m. with ribbon cutting, 
			Honor Guard and Welcome. Complete schedule to be announced.
