Barbara Pfeifer, 79, passed away on October 17, 2018 at her home in Carl Junction, MO surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on February 21, 1939 in Middletown, daughter of Orville and Grace (Harnes) Miller. She married Harold Pfeifer on January 22, 1961 who preceded her in death in 1987.

Surviving Barbara are her children: Rodney Pfeifer of Lincoln, Steve (Angelica) Pfeifer of Florence OR, Cynthia West of Lincoln, Teresa Oltmanns of Lincoln, and Tina (Dave) Rose of Carl Junction MO; three sisters: Margie Yeates of Lincoln, Shirley (Derell) Barthel of Summerville SC, and Kay Hill of Clarksville TN; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one nephew.

Barbara was of the Methodist Faith and retired from years of service as a nurse’s aide where she purposefully put needs of others ahead of her own. She dearly loved her church, her family and the Cubs.

She enjoyed being involved in family activities, traveling, the mountains and putting her toes in the sand at both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf. She developed an inseparable bond with Midnite, the (Rose) family dog, who adopted and loved her in her final years.

Graveside services for Barbara will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 25, 2018 at Irish Grove Cemetery in Middletown with Larry Crawford officiating.

Memorials may be made in Barbara’s name to Oxford HealthCare Hospice.

Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
