							Obituary 
							Cathy Pamela Starr went to be with 
							the Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2018. She passed 
							away peacefully at her home in Lincoln. She was the 
							first born of five children to Donald D. Starr and 
							Eveyln J. Starr in Fresno, CA.
 Cathy was very active in sports her entire life such 
							as playing golf and tennis, and she loved to attend 
							all sporting events. Friends and family loved 
							Cathy’s famous fudge and cookies. She also enjoyed 
							collecting antiques and traveling to Chicago to take 
							in the sights and go to Broadway shows and museums. 
							Cathy worked as the office manager at Merills 
							Construction Company, and later as an accountant for 
							Gerald Kuntz & Associates in Springfield until 
							retirement.
 
							She is preceded in death by her 
							parents. She leaves behind the love of her life, 
							Gene Loeffelholz of 12 years and his son Gage. Gene 
							was always by Cathy’s side during her time of need 
							and was tending for her when she ascended to heaven.

            She is also survived by her brother and sisters: 
			Donald Starr, II of Orlando FL, Suzan Starr of Volcano HI, Sally 
			Starr of Crossword TN, and Jacque Rapacz (Mark) of Colorado Springs 
			CO; five nieces and nephews, and six great nieces and nephews; and 
			Gene’s devoted family.
 A private graveside service was held at St. Mary’s Cemetery where 
			Father Jeffrey G. Liabre officiated. Friends and family can pay 
			their respects at the celebration of life at Old Joes, in Lincoln, 
			on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 11:00-3:00 p.m. Please bring a story 
			or a picture to share.
 
 Cathy loved all living creatures, in lieu of flowers, donations may 
			be made to the Humane Society of Logan County.
 
 Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
