| LINCOLN, IL — The Lincoln College Swimming and
Diving teams competed at the Davenport University Invite over
the weekend. Lincoln faced teams from Davenport and Kalamazoo
				College at this event.
DU did not enter a men’s team, therefore the LC men’s team only
faced Kalamazoo. The LC men were defeated by KC by a final team
score of 160 to 70. Some bright spots for Lincoln included
Bradley-Bourbonnais High School grad Juan Maldonado’s wins in
the 1 Meter and 3 Meter Diving events and a win by Macoy Neinas
(Sturgeon Bay, WI) in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Sophomore Kalen
Eyre (Fiji) also came in first in the Men’s 100 Yard Freestyle.

The Lady Lynx faced off against both Davenport and Kalamazoo,
but were unable to claim a victory. Lincoln fell to DU 137-58
and to KC 181-52. Despite the losses, each member of the team
				posted season best times.

Lincoln Coach Jonathan Jordan saw the high caliber competition
his team faced at this event as an opportunity for growth. “We
swam against two top tier teams this past weekend that pushed
our athletes to have season best times across the board,” said
				Jordan.

Next up for LC will be a trip to Missouri for a dual meet at
Maryville University in St. Louis on Saturday, November 10th.
