On October 5th the Olympia FFA officers and Greenhands, participated in a leadership field trip. For the officers the field trip is called LTS - Leadership Training School. For the Greenhands the field trip is called Greenhand Fire-up Day.

During the day the officers learned about leadership within their school, FFA chapter, and community.

The greenhands got to learn more about the FFA and what they can do in the organization.

FFA Officer Lizzy Davis reflected on the trip, “I thought it was very fun and we learned a lot from team building activities that will benefit us as leaders and it will help us in our chapter.”

After this field trip, the students went to the Robb Jersey Cheese Farm, a dairy near Normal, where they learned how cheese is made.

Submitted by Josie Litwiller, Olympia FFA media/marketing specialist.

Olympia FFA members await the keynote address from our Illinois Major State FFA Officer Eliza Petry.
