Mount Pulaski celebrates the
holiday season with multiple community opportunities

This year the Mount Pulaski community is celebrating
the holiday season with a number of offerings.
The community has published a cookbook that is
available for sale at various locations including the Illinois
National Bank, Farmers Bank, and Salt Creek Attic. For collectors of
as a gift for someone who collects, the cookbook Delightful Dishes -
Life on the Prairie is a perfect purchase as Thanksgiving and
Christmas approach.
Christmas on Vinegar Hill will be held this year on Saturday,
November 17. A variety of locations are included in this years
shopping experience. Maps are available at various locations in
Mount Pulaski and also at the Logan County Tourism Bureau in
Lincoln.
The annual event in Mount Pulaski is one of the most popular
attractions in the county. Each year guests flock to the small
community to enjoy and of course, buy all the lovely items that are
available. If you've never gone to Vinegar Hill, make this your
year, you won't be disappointed.
The Quilters at Heart have donated a beautify quilt
to the Mount Pulaski Courthouse Foundation. The Quilt in the
combination pattern of "Courthouse Steps" and "Ohio Stars" will be
raffled off with the winner drawn at the Mount Pulaski Courthouse
during the annual Vinegar Hill event on November 17th at 4 p.m.

Tickets are available at Salt Creek Attic in Mount
Pulaski, at Make it Sew in Lincoln or from any Mount Pulaski
Courthouse Foundation board member.
The Holiday Tour of Homes returns to Mount Pulaski again this year
on Saturday, December 8th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale
now at the Salt Creek Attic in Mount Pulaski. Proceeds from the tour
will go to benefit the Mount Pulaski Courthouse Foundation.
Homes included in the tour this year will include, Mary Pope - 502
E. Jasper, Dorothy Loveall - 1023 Jane's Lane, Apt 21, Rick and
LeeAnn Volle - 1002 S. Spring Street, Mike and Lynn Lakin - 311 S.
Washington Street, Richard and Jo Ellen Walsh - 11 Lamplighter, and
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church - 321 S. Lafayette.
St, Thomas Church will be hosting a chili and soup supper. There is
no cost for the supper, but the church will be accepting a free will
donation.
Tickets are required for the home tour and should be presented at
each stop.
