Obituary
Jon Edward Firpach, 77, passed away
at 2:35 a.m. on Sunday November 11, 2018 at St.
John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Jon was born on January 17, 1941 in Chicago, IL; son
of John Joseph and Margerite (Rychlock) Firpach. He
married Charlotte McCabe on May 26, 1961 in Worth.
She survives him.
Also surviving Jon are his children: Bonnie Firpach
of Chicago, Desiree Firpach-Boss of Olympia Fields,
Cheryl (Michael) Pearce of Middletown and Jon E.
Firpach of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren and two
great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
parents and one brother: Edward Vogt.

Jon proudly served in the United
States Army from 1958-1961. He was an avid model
train, railroad, and car enthusiast. He also enjoyed
traveling and was a history buff.
Graveside services for Jon will be 12:00 Noon
Thursday November 15, 2018 at Camp Butler National
Cemetery in Springfield.
Memorials may be made in Jon’s name to The American
Cancer Society.
