			Lady Wolverine Basketball Teams end regular season undefeated

			 [November 13, 2018] 
			The WLB Lady Wolverine Seventh and Eighth Grade Basketball Teams 
			ended their regular season contest this week, as both teams ended 
			with undefeated records. 
 The seventh grade team ended the regular season with a 23-0 record; 
			as the eighth grade team, which only has one eighth grader, ended 
			regular season with a 18-0 record.
 
 The Lady Wolverine Basketball Teams brought home the Sixth Grade 
			Mount Pulaski Tourney Championship, Seventh Grade Taylorville 
			Tournament Championship, and both seventh and eighth grade teams 
			were your 2018 Logan County Champions.
 
 This final week of regular season basketball the Lady Wolverines 
			faced some of their toughest opponents all year.
 
 Williamsville
 
 The team traveled to Williamsville where the sixth grade team 
			defeated Williamsville 39-8.
 
 Jane Turner led the Wolverines in scoring with 12, Marin Luckhart 
			added 8, and Lily Holmes 6, Piper Whiteman 6.
 
 The seventh grade team defeated Williamsville by a score of 59-5.
 
 Kloe Froebe led all scorers with 22, Jenna Bowman 13 and Becca 
			Heitzig 10. Froebe also led on boards with 6 and defense with 13 
			steals, Geriets added 5.
 
			
			 
			
 The eighth grade team also defeated Williamsville by a score of 
			61-1.
 
 Froebe led all scorers with 32 as Tori Geriets added 10. Froebe led 
			in assist with 9, as Geriets led on the boards with 3.
 
 Pleasant Plains
 
 Next up was the last home regular season contest for WLB against 
			Pleasant Plains.
 
 The seventh grade team beat Plains by a score of 44-9.
 
 Froebe led all scorers with 24, Becca Heitzig added 8, Tori Geriets 
			8. Froebe led on the boards with 5 as Jenna Bowman and Tori Geriets 
			added 4. Froebe led the defensive attack with 13.
 
 The eighth grade contest was emotional as we honored our only eighth 
			grader Elly Martinez.
 
 The eighth grade team defeated Pleasant Plains by a score of 48-12.
 
 Froebe led all scorers with 24 as Becca Heitzig added 8, Tori 
			Geriets 6. Froebe led on boards with 9 as Heitzig and Geriets pulled 
			down 5, and Elly Martinez 4. Froebe led the defensive strike with 11 
			steals.

            Morton Blessed Sacrament
 West Lincoln then went on the road to Morton to face an undefeated 
			Morton Blessed Sacrament team.
 
 WLB defeated the seventh grade undefeated Morton Blessed Sacrament 
			team by a score of 56-20.
 
 Froebe led all scorers with 32 as Jenna Bowman added 10, Becca 
			Heitzig 6. Kloe Froebe and Alison Turner led on the boards with 6 a 
			piece.
 The eighth grade team came out a bit sluggish but pulled together 
			and defeated Morton by a score of 53-17.
 
 Froebe led all scorers with 36 as Tori Geriets added 10 and Elly 
			Martinez 5. Froebe once again led on the boards with 7 as Heitzig 
			and Geriets pulled down 4. Froebe led the defensive assault with 12 
			steals as Heitzig picked up 4.
 
 Chatham Glenwood
 
 The final game of the week brought one of the toughest games of the 
			year Chatham Glenwood.
 
 The seventh grade team defeated Chatham by a score of 48-22.
 
 Froebe led all scorers with 21 as Becca Heitzig, Jenna Bowman and 
			Tori Geriets all added 6 points a piece.Froebe and Geriets led on 
			the boards with 6 as Froebe also, led on the defensive side with 11 
			steals.
 
 Next up was the closest eighth grade game of the season as the Lady 
			Wolverines defeated Chatham by a score of 37-27.
 
            
			 
			Froebe led in scoring with 22 as Elly Martinez put in 7 and Piper 
			Whiteman 4.
 
 The Lady Wolverines have received the No. 1 seed in the Morton 
			Blessed Sacrament Regional and will begin play next Monday night at 
			6 p.m.
