Obituary
Robert B. Snyder, MGRUSGT, 76, of
Bloomington passed away on Thursday, November 15,
2018 at his home.
A Funeral Service for Bob will be held on Monday,
November 19 , 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family
Catholic Church in Lincoln with Rev. Jeffrey G.
Laible officiating.
No Visitation is scheduled.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lincoln.
Military rites will be accorded by American Legion
Post # 263 of Lincoln.
Robert Boyd Snyder was born on March 10, 1942 in
Logan County the son of Donald William and Dorothy
Emma Jean Sheley Snyder. He was united in marriage
to Mary H. Woodfill on April 8, 1994. She preceded
him in death on February 5, 2011.
He is survived by his children:
Theresa Snyder, Robert Chad (Tonya) Snyder. His
grandchildren: Aydan McCormick, Braydon and Addison.
Four brothers: his twin brother: Richard (Kay)
Snyder, John (Bev) Snyder, Rev. Larry Snyder, Tom
(Elaine) Snyder. Three sisters: Anita (Gary ) Tibbs,
Wanda Peterson, and Mary M. Powell. Several nieces
and nephews also survive. |
Bob graduated from Lincoln Community
High School in 1961. He then served in the United
States Marines for 28 1/2 years retiring as a Master
Gunnery Sargent.
He enjoyed golfing, Nascar racing, gambling, boating
and traveling to Mexico.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Peasley
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
