Hartsburg-Emden basketball hosts Meet the Stags

The Hartsburg Emden High School hosted a Meet the Stags on Friday evening. Stags head coach Jason Garber is looking forward to the 2018-19 campaign.

"We return three starters from last year's team (Brody, Wyatt, and Hunter) but for the rest of the guys this will be their first time seeing significant varsity minutes," said Garber. "I look forward to seeing what this group of seniors can bring this year. This group of seniors is the group I took to the state tournament when they were in eighth grade. These seniors really make coming to practice fun. They are a great group of guys to be around."

Garber added, "We open up at a tough Thanksgiving Tournament at El Paso Gridley. We will play El Paso Gridley, Roanoke and then Olympia. This will be a real test for our guys. I am looking forward to seeing how we compete."

The Stags open play in the El Paso Gridley Tournament on Wednesday night.
