Ben Fricke named November Student
of the Month at Mount Pulaski High School

Ben Fricke, son of Nathan and Heather Fricke of Mount Pulaski, has
been named November Senior of the Month at Mount Pulaski High
School. He was selected for this honor based on the criteria of
scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Ben has been involved in numerous school sports and activities
during his time at MPHS. He has been a member of the Varsity
Baseball and Golf teams, and a member of the JV Basketball team. He
has participated in Pep band, Concert band, NHS, FFA, FCCLA, Student
Council, and Spanish Club. Ben has also been a 4 year member of the
National Society of High School Scholars.
Ben has also received numerous awards and recognitions. He has been
on High Honor Roll consistently during his 4 years at MPHS. He was a
2 time class president and serves as a Senior Spanish Club officer,
Senior Class Treasurer, and Student Council Treasurer.
In 2017 he earned the FFA Ag Sales Regional 1st Place Award. Ben has
earned several athletic recognitions as well. He was named a USSSA
Great Lakes AU American, named to the 1st Team Tomahawk Conference
and 2nd Team Decatur Herald and Review for baseball, and was named a
Game Day USA All Star.

Ben plans to major in Agri-business and Accounting and play collegiate baseball.
He is currently undecided as to what school he would like to attend.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Conaway Handyman Service and
Downing, Przykopanski, Clements, & May Insurance Agency, Inc. They are also in
the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by Illinois National
Bank.
