LINCOLN
This is an emergency call from Illinois American Water.
Illinois American Water has issued a boil water order for all our
customers in the Lincoln District, effective immediately.
The boil order is due a power outage at our water treatment plant
that has caused decreased water pressures throughout the water
distribution system.
Customers should bring their tap water to a rolling boil for five
minutes before using water for drinking or cooking. Water is OK for
bathing, washing, or other common uses.

The boil order is expected be remain in effect for approximately 36 hours while
a series of water quality tests are conducted throughout the Lincoln District

Customers in the Lincoln District should continue to conserve water usage until
