							Darlene Marie Veff, 76, of Lincoln 
							passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Heritage 
							Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Springfield. She 
							was born on July 4, 1942 in Seattle, WA. The 
							daughter of Jake and Elizabeth (Andrew) Graybeal. 
							She married Robert Veff on December 15, 1974 in 
							Lincoln. He preceded her in death on February 8, 
							1997.
 Darlene is survived by her children: Jennifer Hanson 
							of Seattle, WA; Lorinda (Bruce) Campbell of 
							Merrillville, IN; Roberta (Brandon) McGuire, her 
							grandchildren: Kenny Campbell, E. Spencer Martin, 
							Elliott Martin, Ember McGuire; beloved grandchildren 
							in the Berlett, Humphrey, Quigle and Spaulding 
							families; two sisters, Sharon Johnston of Graham, WA 
							and Vickie Graybeal of Seattle, WA; one brother, 
							Robert (Linda) Graybeal of Westminster, CO.
 
 Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, her 
							husband, two siblings, Judy Jackson and Buck Martin; 
							and one grandchild, Ezra McGuire.

							Darlene was a nurse at LDC for 22 
							years and the owner of R & D Dairy Bar. Darlene 
							loved gardening and music. She enjoyed spending time 
							with her friends at the nursing home, shopping, 
							cooking, and loved giving.
 A Graveside service for Darlene will be held at 
							11:00 am on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Union 
							Station 
							Cemetery, rural Emden. Visitation will be held from 
							4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
 
 Memorial donations may be made in Darlene’s name to 
							St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
