The Mount Pulaski Honeybears punched their
ticket to the 2018 7th Grade Class 1A State Tournament on
Wednesday night by defeating Hume Shiloh 33-24 in the sectional
championship. The Honeybears were led in scoring by Mackenzi
Chandler with 16 points.
Mount Pulaski (23-2) will play Sigel St. Michael's (18-6) in the
opening round of the state tournament on Saturday at Central A &
M Middle School in Assumption. Game time is 2:30 p.m. The winner
will play Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. The third place and
championship games of the state tournament will take place on
Thursday, December 6, 2018.
