LINCOLN
Next week, on Thursday, December 6th the Logan County Tourism Bureau
will host the annual Lincoln Christmas Parade starting at 6:30 p.m..
Once again this year, children can expect to be able to spend time
with Santa and Mrs. Claus after the parade.
The parade route this year is slightly different. As always, the
parade will begin on Wyatt Avenue, travel north on Kickapoo Street
to Pulaski Street where it will turn right or east and travel to
McLean Street. At McLean the parade will turn left or north and
travel to Broadway Street. At the Post Office corner, the parade
will turn left as always, but this year it will continue west on
Broadway Street TWO BLOCKS to Chicago Street and the Lincoln Depot.

The parade will disband on Chicago Street, and Santa's sleigh will pull into the
circle drive at the Depot. Santa will be welcomed inside the Depot where he will
be set up beside the Christmas tree to visit with children. There will also be
cookies and hot chocolate served in the north room at the depot for all to enjoy
while they wait their turn on Santa's lap. So, please mark your calendars and
plan accordingly so that you will all have the opportunity to visit with Santa.
