							As a

							most effective and least offensive manner to get
							your point across is to stick to the issue
							and refrain from commenting on another person's

							issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

            | To the editor: On behalf of
			the Zonta Club of Lincoln, we would like to thank everyone who
			supported the 54th annual Zonta Turkey Dinner on Sunday, November
			4th. This year we sold 863 tickets, of which the proceeds will help
			us fund scholarships for women in Logan County as well as support
			local organizations and Zonta International projects. Your support
			helps us continue to empower women locally and globally to expand
			their access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and
			safe living conditions.
 Our Club recognizes year over year that this event would not be a
			success without our patrons and the support of our entire community
			- so thank YOU for that. We would specifically like to thank all of
			our student and non-student volunteers for serving meals, seating
			guests, and cleaning up: Hunter McKinney, Dean Harris, Sydney Worth,
			and Kristina Nguyen (Lincoln Community High School National Honor
			Society); Zach Menzel (LCHS); Emma Menzel and Makenzie Worth
			(Lincoln Junior High School); Ashley Cooper (Lincoln Christian
			University); Jasmine Thakkar, Aliza Sideligui, and Julia Beccue (Zonta
			Golden Z Club members at the University of Illinois in
			Champaign-Urbana); Seth, Scott, and Gaynor Goodman; Aaron Smith;
			Steve and Kim Spaulding; Aaron McCain; Joe Schaler; John Hebenstreit;
			John Grigsby; and Gavin Farmer.

            [to top of second column in this letter] |

			 We would also like to thank several people who
			helped make this year’s event possible once again: our food vendors
			Mary Jo Willits of Gordon Food Service and Chris Reid of Kohl
			Wholesale as well as Tracy Farmer, the LCHS School Board,
			Superintendent Robert Bagby, Lori Lawson, Rachel Jording, and Mike
			Camp from Lincoln Community High School for providing the location,
			support, and assistance in planning and preparation.
 Thank you again to everyone for partnering with us every year to
			make a difference in our community! If you would like to learn more
			about the Zonta Club of Lincoln, visit our website at
