From the Logan County Sheriff's Office
On September 29th, 2018 at approximately 11:08 am,
Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash
on 2300th Street at 1050th Avenue in rural Hartsburg.
A 17-year-old female was found deceased upon arrival
of emergency personnel. The 17-year-old is believed to be the sole
occupant and driver of the vehicle. The crash is under investigation
by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

The Logan County Coroner, Robert Thomas, has
announced that
Kennedy A. Freese, age 17, of Lincoln, IL was pronounced dead at
11:25 am on September 29, 2018 .

Ms. Freese was the driver of a pickup truck. The truck left the
roadway and crashed. This was a single occupant/single vehicle accident. The
accident was on a county roadway near Hartsburg, IL.
An autopsy was performed and the results are pending.
Holland, Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln are handling the funeral
arrangements.
