[October 11, 2018]    On Friday, the Lincoln College Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving teams hosted their first event as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Both teams finished the dual meet behind Lindenwood-Belleville University in overall scoring.

The top point-scorer for the women’s team was swimmer Colleen Furgeson (Marshal Islands). Ferguson was a winner in the 100 and 200 Meter Backstroke events.

The strongest performances for the men’s team were turned in by Macoy Neinas (Sturgeon Bay, WI) and Marko Dominovic (Croatia) in the Breaststroke and Backstroke events respectively.

Lincoln Head Coach Jonathan Jordan said, “Although we are disappointed to be walking away from the first meet with two losses, the team had many outstanding swims. It was also great to see a few athletes earn personal best times this early in the season.”

Lincoln will be in action next at home this Friday at 5:00 PM when they host St. Ambrose University.
