The Lady Railers Volleyball Team picked up their first Apollo
Conference win at home on Thursday night and the timing could not
have been more perfect: Senior Night. Prior to the Varsity game
seniors Mackenzie Antoine, Jenifer Porlas, Tasha Young and Emma
Konczyk were honored.
The Lady Railers then took the court for what would be an exciting
three-set match with Charleston. After losing the first set 18-25,
Lincoln came storming back to win the next two sets, 25-23 and
25-23.
Brooke Kitner led Lincoln with three kills. Leah Schneider, Emma
Konczyk, Emily Paulus and Tasha Young each had two kills. Elise
Dawson had one kill.
For senior Jenifer Porlas the win was a real boost to the team's
confidence. "It felt amazing to win on Senior Night. We have been
super down during this whole season and this win really did hype us
up, especially leading towards regionals, which is in a week. It'll
be great."
