The Lincoln College Women’s Volleyball team continued its winning
ways on Thursday evening with a dominating performance at home
against Blackburn College (NCAA DIII). The Lady Lynx held BC in
check most of the match to win it 25-14, 25-16, 25-15.
Lincoln has won eight of their last ten matches, and this victory
improved the team’s overall record to 14-10.
Lincoln head coach Mark Tippett is pleased with the progress his
team has made in their first season of varsity competition. “Our
players have done an excellent job over the last few weeks of
limiting errors and not giving points away,” said LC Head Coach Mark
Tippett. “We have been making teams work for everything they get,
and our ability to put six strong rotations on the floor make it
tough for our opponents to gain momentum. The win tonight was a good
example of that.”
The outside hitting duo of juniors Kaylyn Hoffert (Lincoln) and
Mikayla Seibert (Mackinaw) shared the lead in kills for Lincoln with
six apiece.
