Swimmers & Divers Drop Dual Meet to St. Ambrose

The Lincoln College Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving teams were in
action at home this past Friday against Saint Ambrose University.
The Lady Lynx fell to St. Ambrose 126 to 114 in a decision that come
down to the last relay. The men were overmatched against St. Ambrose
and lost by total scores of 205 to 75.
Lincoln College sophomore Colleen Furgeson (Marshal Islands) was the
top point scorer for the women winning the 100 and 200 Meter
Backstroke events as well as taking first in the 50 Meter Freestyle.
Petra Blazevic (Croatia) was a close second in points, winning both
the 100 and 200 Meter Breaststroke.
Macoy Nienas from Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin was once again the top
point earner for the Lincoln College Men’s team. Nienas was able to
win a close race, just out-touching his opponents in the 50 Meter
Freestyle.

Lincoln Head Coach Jonathan Jordan said, “This was a tough loss for
both teams. We have learned a lot about ourselves as a team and are
hoping to use these things to win the upcoming events.”
The Lynx Swimming and diving team will be in action for their last
home meet of the season at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 27th.
