Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: This year's
food drive was very successful and Mount Pulaski residents donated
1,276 pounds of food. In total, 9,940 pounds of food were collected
for and distributed to our local food pantries.
Thank you to everyone who donated to the food drive.
We'd also like to thank: IGA for donating bags for the food
donations;; Kroger for donating food; Stuffed-Aria for our reminder
cards on their pizza boxes and giving us a great deal on pizza so
our volunteers could be fed; and thanks to each volunteer who gave
up his or here time to help with the food drive.

Just as we appreciated each food donation, we also
appreciate every person and business who helped make this year's
food drive such a success!
Thank you all!
