Small and medium sized businesses will have access to expert advice to navigate today’s challenging human resources environment when the MacKinnon School of Business at Lincoln College hosts a human resources workshop Nov. 1.

“It’s often said that the most valuable asset any business has is its employees. Yet, the human resource environment today is more complicated and challenging than ever before. Employers, especially those running a small- or medium-sized business, can feel overwhelmed when it comes to negotiating the human resources environment today,” said Dr. Diana Heeb Bivona, Assistant Professor of Business at the MacKinnon School of Business at Lincoln College. “This workshop will give employers access to some of the leading experts in the field and offer practical advice that they can put into practice immediately.”

Participants will be able to attend sessions on:

  • Recruiting in a tight labor market;

  • Conducting an internal investigation

  • Retaining good employees;

  • Building an employee benefits package; and

  • Courting college graduates.
