Hartem Stags earn Regional Volleyball Championship - improve season record to 32-4

The Hartem Stags defeated Roanoke Benson 25-22 and 25-14 to earn the Class 1A Regional Championship on Thursday night.

The regional champs - the 2018 Hartem Stags and their fans. No. 1 fan Colin Schriber is holding the championship plaque surrounded by a bunch of happy Stags.

Anna Hayes led the Stags by pounding 16 kills. Grace Beekman threw down 10 kills and tossed up 17 assists. Lexi Barry hit the floor for 11 digs. Alaina Bradburn's play at the net was once again outstanding as the sophomore left the floor for 5 blocks and 5 kills.

Hartem will play at 5:30 p.m. on Monday in the Peoria Heights Sectional.
