Obituary
David A. Yeates, 84, of Lincoln,
passed away October 9, 2018 at his residence.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a
later date in Camp Butler National Cemetery,
Springfield, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2 p.m.
David was born March 24, 1934 in Peoria, IL., the
son of Forrest and Gretchen (Albright) Yeates. He
married Marjorie ( Miller) Crowell on March 23,
1991.
He proudly served his country in the United States
Army and Air National Guard. He enjoyed auctions and
flea markets. He was a Gold Wing Club member and
enjoyed riding his motorcycle in previous years.

Surviving are his wife Marjorie of Lincoln; children: Donna Semon
of Springfield, Franklin Yeates of Athens, and Kenneth (Patricia) Yeates of
Athens; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; Siblings: Carol Hilshire of
Lincoln, Richard Yeates of Springfield, Mary Ann Eisenhuth of Lamoille, and Dale
(Elaine) Yeates of Wisconsin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Stephen Yeates and step son Perry
Crowell.
