To the editor:
The company We Keep
It concerns me that our president relies on advice from the
Kardashian’s and Kanye. Never thought those words would come out of
my mouth!
We’ve all known of bosses who favored those whose flattery was their
only talent. If you’re like me, you didn’t think much of those
bosses. Those bosses didn’t get the best advice and, over time,
their downfall usually came about.
How do we suggest that our president seek better advice? I think we
send him a message. The only message with meaning is how we vote.
Voting for a Democratic Congress might be a bit foreign to some of
you. However, it’s the only way to get through to him. It’s how
previous presidents were given a message. It’s our responsibility.

Junius Rodriquez is a wonderful person who has
been a history professor at Eureka College for 20 years. He seeks
bipartisan answers to our problems. He promises to serve no more
than 6 years, opt out of the congressional pension, and seek to end
gerrymandering.
A message that we don’t want a continuation of the antics we see
24/7 is one worth sending.
