The team announced the moves Tuesday, which are
fourth-year options for Dunn and Valentine and a third-year
option for Markkanen.
Dunn, acquired from the Timberwolves in the Jimmy Butler deal,
was originally a first-round pick out of Minnesota. He is
sidelined with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his
knee.
Markkanen set a rookie record with 145 3-pointers in 2017-18 but
is also hurt. He is expected to return in late November or early
December from an elbow injury. He averaged 15.2 points and 7.5
rebounds per game last season.
Valentine is also out but nearing a return from an ankle injury.
He averaged 10.2 points and 5.1 rebounds last season.
