Obituary
Anthony Vespa of Richardson, Texas
passed away on September 3, 2018 at the age of 78.
He was born on September 30, 1939 in Springfield, to
Anthony and Mabel (Clements) Vespa.
Anthony graduated from Lincoln Community High School
in Lincoln in 1957. He received a bachelor’s degree
in electrical engineering from Iowa State
University. Anthony received master’s degrees in
electrical engineering and math from Southern
Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
He moved to Texas with Collins Radio in 1966 and
eventually started working for Texas
Instruments/Raytheon, where he enjoyed a long career
as an electrical engineer.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Beverly Vespa of
Richardson, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Conway and
husband, Larry of Fairview, Texas; grandson, Parker
Conway; granddaughter, Jordan Conway; sister, Teresa
Tierney and husband, Maurice of Lincoln; niece,
Annette Conner; nephew, John Tierney; and numerous
other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and
Mabel Vespa and sister, Annette.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday,
September 7, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow
Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North,
Allen, Texas. Interment is to immediately follow at
Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
The family will receive friends during a visitation
from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
