Obituary
Leslie E. Schaefer, 72, of Atlanta
passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Meadows
Mennonite Retirement Center in Chenoa.
Funeral services for Mr. Schaefer will be held on
Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith
Lutheran Church in Lincoln with Rev. Mark Peters
officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time
of service on Wednesday at the church.
Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.
Leslie Edwin Schaefer was born on October 27, 1945,
in Long Island, New York, the son of Leslie Elmer
and Marcella Tucker Schaefer. He was united in
marriage to Linda Eileen Bickel on June 9, 1970, at
Gloria Christi Chapel at Valparaiso University in
Valparaiso, Indiana. She survives.

Also surviving are his brother:
Harold John (Christine) Schaefer, and two nephews:
Charles Schaefer and Benjamin Schaefer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Leslie graduated from Valparaiso University in 1968. He is a member
of Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln. He had been employed at Sears,
Radio Shack, Holiday Inn, and as a Mental Health Technician at the
Lincoln Development Center. His hobbies included woodworking.
Memorials may be made in his name to Faith Lutheran Church.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of
Atlanta.
