Photo taken at a resort in the southwest on a hot day. Notice the formal dress…no shorts and flip flops here.

 

Deluxe passenger train, circa 1912, again formal dress was called for on early passenger trains.


The early 20th century passenger trains provided stenographers for the passengers. Things have changed.

 


A barber with a steady hand gives a shave to a passenger on a deluxe train, a service for passengers that has not been available for over 60 years. This Tibbitts photo is history captured in a time capsule.
