[September 24, 2018]  LINCOLN - Ronald D. Mote, 84, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Funeral Arrangements are pending at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Visitation: Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Jefferson Street Christian Church

Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at the church

Funeral home: Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln  

Obituary

Ronald D. Mote, 84, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jefferson Street Christian Church with Mr. Michael Mallick officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.

Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post # 263.

Burial will be at a later date in Zion Cemetery.

Ronald Dean Mote was born on August 15, 1934 in Lincoln the son of Herbert William and Marjorie Helen Alexander Mote. He was united in marriage to Lois Irene Logan on June 12, 1959. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2007.

He is survived by two sons: Roger (Sharon) Mote, Chad (April) Mote, one daughter: Lisa (Gary) Buss, Five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three sisters: Myra Gleason, Gayla Wright, Kathleen (Dean Mac) McCoy, two brothers: William (Vicki) Mote, Rodney (Lora) Mote.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, three sisters and one brother.

Ron served in the United States Air Force.

Ron was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church and was a member of the Lincoln Goldwing Motorcycle Club.

Memorials may be made to Oasis Senior Citizens Center or Jefferson Street Christian Church.

Peasley Funeral Home is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
