Lincoln College Softball Coach Boyd Nowicki is pleased to announce
the signing of his first class of 2019 recruit, Bailey Wilkinson
from Palmer, Illinois. On Thursday afternoon the Morrisonville High
School senior signaled her intention to attend LC as she inked her
award letter to become a Lynx.
Wilkinson is a pitcher and also plays first base. Coach Nowicki
figures for her to see time at both positions for the Lady Lynx next
season. At MHS, Wilkinson was named second-team All-Conference her
freshmen and sophomore year. Last spring she received first-team
All-Conference recognition after recording 13 Wins, with 217
Strikeouts in 136.1 innings pitched. In addition to an impressive
2.7 earned run average on the mound, Wilkinson hit for a .367
batting average with seven homeruns.
Wilkinson has also been a standout in the classroom as she has made
the Morrisonville High School Academic Honor Roll all three years at
MHS.
Coach Nowicki is glad to have Wilkinson on board.

“Bailey's play alone would want any coach having her on their team,
but I am most impressed by how she carries herself. She’s
fun-loving, has a fantastic work ethic and a positive, supportive
way of interacting with her teammates,” said Coach Nowicki.
“I look forward to seeing Bailey mature and become a leader for our
program on and off the field in the future,” he added.
